Underfloor heating for homes and commercial buildings

Even, silent warmth from the floor up, with no radiators on the walls. We advise on the right system, then design and install the whole thing.

01Overview

Radiators heat a room mainly by convection: warm air rises to the ceiling and the floor stays the coolest part of the room. Underfloor heating works almost entirely by radiation. Heat rises from the floor, warms the surfaces around it, and the whole room becomes evenly warm.

That means lower running temperatures and lower energy use, especially in rooms with high ceilings. It’s why underfloor heating suits extensions, kitchens and bathrooms at home, and churches, barns and sports halls commercially.

Wet systems run warm water through pipes concealed in the floor, from your boiler or heat pump. Electric systems use heating mats with no water at all. Both are completely hidden from view.

03FAQ

Questions, answered

Can’t see your question? Call 07702 155 576. You’ll speak to an engineer, not a call centre.

Wet or electric?

Wet systems are cheaper to run and best for larger areas or whole floors. Electric is cheaper to install and great for a single bathroom or kitchen floor.

Can underfloor heating go in an existing home?

Yes. Low-profile overlay systems go on top of existing floors with minimal build-up.

Does it work with a heat pump?

Very well. Its low flow temperature is ideal for heat pumps.
